Mainstream culture is full of 'art', 'music' and all kinds of media that is so
totally devoid of soul, heart and any real thought that
it can make you sick. Yes, there is a place in the world for carefree entertainment, but do our minds have to be flooded with nothing but Big Brother, Britney Spears and B-movie standard films disguised with special effects? Well,
we don't think so. We don't think that we should have such a limited cultural experience, and we want to
put the heart and soul back into creative arts! Here at A Place In Between we believe in the
freedom of thought, speech and even more than that;
the freedom to express yourself any way you wish, and to be allowed a platform for that expression. A Place In Between is that place in between the stuffy, boring, pretentious stuff and the mindless drivel that permeates our culture. It's
a place in between all the extremes: the only vantage point from which anything make sense!

Bonniefeatured
Just a little update here - our good friend Bonnie has changed her DeviantArt account from Fuschia Moomin to Bonniefeatured. She has her reasons, so don't go being fussy! Still hoping to get her own site up and running some time soon, but uni constrainst on time are proving unfortunate. So it goes!
Keep exploring though, as her artwork is well worth looking at - as is the work of every A Place In Betweener. But then, I am a little biased...
More updates will soon be a-coming, so watch this space for muchos uber-coolness!

The damn shoutbox, and slow progress
Yes, I have had to remove the shoutbox from the site. This is a pretty common occurrence on the interwebs as far as I can see, as shoutboxes are notoriously spam-friendly, and I'm just not in any position to go removing dozens of spam messages every day. Sorry if you liked it, but I don't think it's removal should make a big difference to the site
On a more positive note, the websites that make up the A Place In Between network are slowly beginning to take shape. I, The Almighty Bobbu, am working on a number of them at the moment while others are creating their own. I'm hoping that in just a month of so we should have no more links to myspace accounts and whatnot. Yay for personal space!
So it is indeed slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

Welcome to the brand spanking new A Place In Between!
At long last, after all that waiting, the masterpiece that is A Place In Between has returned! Yes, it is very different. Yes, it does definitely have the same heart, soul and motivation, even if it has changed its face a bit. Yes, it is still promoting the Movement for Intelligent Creativity. Yes, it is encouraging even further individualism and expression. And yes, it did take a bloody long time and alot of effort!
Please, take a look around and tell me what you think - there's a lovely little comment box just for that purpose! And I hope that the easy-to-subscribe RSS is as easy as I think (that's Really Simple Syndication, for those of you just entering into the light, as I did some time ago..). Hopefully it's all pretty self-explanatory, so I'll leave it to you to uncover it's beautiful simplicity. Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
